ETHON was founded in 1976 when 5 brothers, with 200.000 Italiana lira lent by their father and with their deep skills in wood processing, bought the land and started business.
It’s a period of great expansion for the timber industry, and the big potential and expertise of the Zanon brothers is immediately noticed.
When the number of orders increases, the company invests in new technologies. Where there is no availability of proper machineries, the mechanical genius of the 5 brothers intervenes: they design and make the machineries themselves to solve otherwise insurmountable industrialization problems.
Nowadays the second generation is taking the place of the first one, bringing fresh energies and brand-new enthusiasm to further expand the offer and the markets.
It’s no longer enough to supply at competitive prices or guarantee high quality products; it’s mandatory to offer new design skills to the customer and to help him in the development and industrialization of the production. Furthermore, there must be an adequate after-sales assistance service to guarantee the perfect integration of ETHON products in the supply chain.
Without an accurate and patient seasoning of the timber on the Company’s external yard and without the following kilning process, both in traditional and vacuum ovens in order to reach the optimal moisture level, there wouldn’t be stability in a lively material such as wood.
This is the keystone for a product that will preserve its original characteristics over time; this is unique to ETHON and is recognized worldwide.
After drying, the timber is placed in our warehouse in dedicated air-conditioned zones controlled for both humidity and temperature.
These conditions are necessary to stabilize the timber before further processing.
The focus on machineries performance is proved by the internal laboratory. A constant and precise maintenance is made on the machineries as well as rapid tooling.
With an efficient production planning, resulting from a 45-years’ experience, we can face every order request, even for high quantities.
ETHON’s production potential is extremely flexible.
Another essential step in ETHON’s quality standards. An always watchful eye of the operators, mostly women, spots the smallest details that could become defects in the final product.
A high-efficiency system enables the recovery of timber processing waste which maintains the constant air-conditioning of ETHON’s production plant.
